Meet the Grandparents

The Switzer Family got to take a fun trip so that the Connell side of the family could meet Kaylee! We left Wednesday early morning and it took three plane rides to get to Charlotte, NC and another hour to get to our family's house in Lugoff, SC. Kaylee did really well on the trip there, some said to us after the flight "Wow! We didn't even know she was there!" Two of the legs of the trip we had an extra seat in our row, so Kaylee was able to have a place to lie down.

Here we are on the flight, Kaylee is all stretched out. We got to play a trivia game on the back of the seats on Delta's entertainment system. Joel was the 1st place winner on the whole flight!

The Connells have lots of pets, here is Rachelle with Cinnamon Bun, their rabbit.

Kaylee had lots of people waiting to meet her, but none were as anxious as her Aunt Madelyn! She wanted to be holding her and taking care of her all the time! Sadly, poor Madelyn got sick the second day we were there, and didn't get to hold her much after that. :-( We are excited to see them again so Madelyn can hold her more... so Madelyn next time, don't get sick! :-)

Proud Uncle Ashton with Kaylee. Kaylee had fun sitting in his lap, and laughing as he was playing with her. Ashton stayed healthy so that he could hold Kaylee for our whole trip! We didn't get any pictures of Lisa and Ammon holding Kaylee. Lisa and Ammon were able to get the best smiles out of Kaylee. We wish we had those pictures!

That was our trip to SC! Our trip home was quite as long, but a little less enjoyable then the trip there. We didn't get any spare seats, no fun triva games, and a sick loud crying little boy in the same row as us. Kaylee had a couple of meltdowns, but overall she was such a good baby, and we are grateful for such a sweetie. We are also grateful we were able to go to SC and see the Connells and that they were able to fall in love with Kaylee!
