We had a great trip to California for Joel's birthday. Kaylee did a great job on the plane. We lucked out and Kaylee got her own seat. The night before Joel's birthday, his sister and her family came to his parents' house to spend the night. It was fun watching Kaylee play with her cousins. She kept giving them hugs and even called them by name.
On Joel's birthday, we went to the Alameda County Fair. Kaylee loved trying out the chairs and toy cars. Joel's dad entered some of his baseball memorabilia into the hobby showcase and won 2nd place!
Kaylee enjoyed drawing and singing on the kiddie stage. Right as we left we saw some tiny new born piglets =) We went home after the fair and had dinner and cake and ice cream. I made Joel a chocolate ganache cake that everyone seemed to like.
Friday we went up to Rocklin to hang out with the Savages. Kaylee and Nolan had a blast in their zero entry pool. Kaylee loved borrowing Nolan's water wings. It was fun watching Joel throw Lia and Jaycie around in the water.
We enjoyed swimming at Aunt Katie and Uncle Hendo's house on Saturday. Hendo made burgers for lunch and then ordered pizza for dinner. Kaylee enjoyed playing with all their toys and walking around in everyone's shoes.
On Monday we went to San Francisco for a quick visit. We just walked around, saw the sea lions, and had clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls. I always enjoy SF.It was nice to be around family and fun to see Kaylee with everyone, especially her Grammy. She is talking more and more. It's like something clicked and all of a sudden she is forming sentences! Anyway, Happy Birthday Sweetie! I hope it was a good one.

It was so fun seeing you guys! I loved being able to spend time with all of you. Kaylee is so cute I miss her already!
