There is so much to be thankful for! Overwhelmingly, the highest on the list is family.
They fill me up with the sweetest joy. We all have our challenges and nothing is perfect, but when I take time to look at the life that I've built and been blessed with, I am grateful and fulfilled. Here are some pictures to illustrate a bit of our recent happenings.
Grammy and Papa came for Thanksgiving! Grammy, Sienna, and Mommy went to the park while Papa and Daddy worked.
Project #1 Replacing the garbage disposal and rotten board!
Grammy and Papa moved out of Joel's childhood home and brought a bunch of Joel's old things. Pictured is Joel's first pair of Nike's!
Grammy got to pick K up from school. She was proud to show off the shirt she made for the school friendship feast.
Project #2 Removing the stump! 4 hours of pick-axing by Papa, drilling, Grammy and Joel digging at roots, and finally lighting that sucker on fire and letting it smoulder over night and digging up the pieces...sheesh! That blasted thing is finally gone! Sienna and Kaylee had a great time playing with their new neighbor friend, Carley, while everyone worked outside!
Project #3 Adding about 3 tons of rock to the front yard and trimming all bushes
Project #4 Sorting through about 20 strings of lights, throwing away the broken ones, using some and donating the rest (and getting the electric shock of my life in the process!).
We stayed busy! All while comforting a sick baby Brynn!
Thanksgiving morning. Fresh homemade pumpkin scones for breakfast!
sweet sisters
One of the highlights of the day was getting to meet Jacob and see Andy as a dad. What a sweet time. He is such a doll and totally came to me! Can't wait to see him again!
We also met Andy's girlfriend, Elyse. She is such a sweetheart and so good with Brynn.
Poor Brynn puked ALL over Elyse and she was so gracious about it. They have seen each other since and no puke was involved =)
Snuggles with GG! It was so good to see her!
Mel and his tools. This man is either working or sleeping. There is really no in between.
I love these pictures! They show how nurturing she is with her grand babies.
Brynn at 7 months
Decorating the tree
"Look Mom! I'm Santa Claus!"
I let them do a lot of it on their own this year. They were so cute working together.
K got new sunglasses for her school Christmas performance of "Jingle Bell Rock". Love those sassy cuties.
Gotta love winter in Gilbert. Fresh oranges picked straight from the tree on the way home from school yesterday.
Dirty bathrooms and the crying baby are calling. Until next time...
