Well, it's about time we stop procrastinating and put up our pictures of our Thanksgiving Break. This year we went to San Leandro/Bay Area to spend Thanksgiving with Joel's side of the family. It was the first trip (of more than an hour) that Kaylee has been on since she was born, so it was both an exciting and nerve wracking experience.
Kaylee did really well on the plane ride there. We were surprised, because it was not a full flight that someone still decided to sit next to us. I figured the possibility of having a screaming baby next to them would deter people from sitting by us. Unfortunately we were wrong. :-) Oh well, it could have been worse, she was a very petite woman who was conscientious about not disturbing Kaylee... and it is, after all, only a two hour flight.
For the actual day of Thanksgiving we went out to my sister and brother-in-law's house for dinner. Katie and Joel were good hosts, and the dinner was good. Somehow we forgot to take a picture of the spread... but you can surely imagine: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, salad, rolls, cranberry sauce, and gravy to mix it all together.
Rachelle showed off her culinary skills and made delicious pumpkin pie and a yummy sweet potato souffle. She was definitely a hit!
Here I am before the game watching some football with Kaylee... maybe it was because the Cowboys are winning, but I don't look pleased!

This is inside Bubba Gump's. My sister Melissa is holding Kaylee. Kaylee liked being held by her Aunt Melissa... as long as Nolan (her son) didn't notice, he didn't mind either! Kaylee was excited to meet her cousins Jaycie and Lia, here Jaycie is hanging out with her cousin.
Goodbye California, see you later!
