Kaylee's Extended 3rd Birthday

A look back through the years...

Birth

Kaylee is our little sweetheart. She is so loving and friendly to everyone she meets. She calls everyone her friend. I love having her company when we go shopping or anywhere else. She has such a spunky personality and has gotten so good at singing lately. I love hearing her sing full songs. Kaylee is super smart and quite curious. She always asks why, which will get her far in life (just drives me a little crazy right now). Today Kaylee said to me, "Mommy, Calla is my best friend...and Landon and Morra too." She is such a social kid. One of my favorite things about Kaylee is how multiple times a day she comes to me, gives me a big hug and says "I love you, Mommy." Melts. My. Heart.

In honor of Kaylee turning 3 (and to make up for her 2nd birthday when Mommy was still recovering from childbirth), we did a few things to celebrate. On Kaylee's actual birthday, we had a play date with her buddy Landon. When we picked up Daddy from work, he came out with a bouquet of balloons for Kaylee. She was soooooooooo excited.
For dinner we went to "Old Macdonald's" and then got ice cream at Cold Stone. Kaylee had a great day.
The next day, Kaylee's Great Aunt and Uncle treated us to lunch at Oregano's and brought Kaylee some presents. This was the first birthday where she really knew what was going on and wants it to be her birthday every day now.

After having lunch, we thought it would be fun to stay at Daddy's hotel for the night, so we did. We skyped with some of her cousins, Aunt Melissa, and Grammy who talked to her about turning 3.
Here's Kaylee enjoying her nice comfy bed.
 After Skyping we went swimming.
Here's Kaylee all decked out in her floating gear. We had such a great time at the pool because we had it all to ourselves, the weather was perfect for swimming and because both girls love the water. Kaylee was able to float around all by herself, and Sienna found the water quite soothing. =)
After a few more days, we had Kaylee's birthday party. She was giggling with joy running around in dress up clothes with her pal Calla, and when it came time for presents all the kids helped her.
We are grateful for her family and friends who remembered  her birthday and helped to make it special. She loved everything!
Blowing out the candles, cute little monkey face.
Kaylee and I had a great time making these cupcakes. Every cupcake had a different color combination. We also served deli sandwiches and chocolate cake.
Sienna polished off some cake without complaint =)
(Pardon the cellphone quality of this picture)
Here's Kaylee in her new Papasan Fairy chair. LOVE it.

Happy Birthday, Kaylee Bug!
