Retirement Party
Mel is a big A's fan, to say the least. It made sense to have his party at the A's stadium with traditional baseball park food. He was honored with many kind words, an awesome bobble head made in his likeness, and a very clever presentation by his kids about what it was like to grow up with an electrician for a dad. The game was rain delayed for a few hours so we had plenty of time to hang out. Here is Mel practicing for the opening pitch!
We slept through part of the game.
Celebrating the September birthdays...Papa, Lia, Kaylee, and Sienna. Full house, presents, and tacos.
The next day we went up to Rocklin for Lia's baptism. We are so glad we got to be there! This picture was taken near the church.
We found a really fun place to play on Kaylee's birthday before we left for home. Melissa and I ended up ganging up on Papa. I quite enjoyed shooting balls at him =) He gives great reactions.
