We are pleased to announce that we are going to become parents on or around September 21st!!!
This news comes with added joy and meaning due to our recent miscarriage in November. In October, when we went in for our first attempt at hearing a heartbeat at 10 weeks, the Doctor was unsuccessful and told us not to worry (yeah right). We went in again at 11 weeks, no heartbeat. By 12 weeks Rachelle started to experience miscarriage symptoms, so the Doctor finally ordered an ultrasound. The bad news came, we were going to have a miscarriage. This was overwhelming, but through the love and support of family, friends and a loving Heavenly Father we were able to grow from this experience.
Happily for us, we got pregnant again right away! This time around we had an early ultrasound at 7 weeks when we heard that miracle of a heartbeat for the first time (so therapeutic!). When we went in for a 12 week appointment, we heard the heartbeat again (150 beats/min) and knew this pregnancy was for real. So now we are 13 weeks along and feel so blessed to be experiencing such a beautiful miracle!!!

Congratulations!!!! We are so excited for you. Isn't it amazing how wonderful it is just to hear a heartbeat? Pregnancy and birth are two amazing things, so enjoy every minute of them!
