Making Memories (Grammy Style)

Grammy's Visit

Kaylee couldn't wait for Grammy to come visit and was so happy when she got here. She stayed for a week. While she was here Kaylee played all sorts of games with her. Sienna finally warmed up to her and Grammy got some nice cuddles.

We didn't take a ton of pictures but here's some of what we did.

Disney on Ice: Toy Story
We found a great price on tickets and went to the show in Phoenix. We all enjoyed it. Kaylee's favorite part was when Mickey came out to introduce each act. She also really liked the Pizza Planet scene with the bad guy and the Barbie scenes. Sienna was clapping right along with the music (when she wasn't sleeping).

Date Night
We got a nice date while Grammy watched the girls. It was such a nice treat! We used our gift card from the Lane's to see Mission Impossible 3 and went to Cafe Rio. It was wonderful. Grammy was amazed to watch how ravenously the girls scarfed down cheese tortellini. It's probably their favorite thing right now.

Model Homes and Park
We went around looking at model homes near our current home. It was really fun to see what's out there and to see how they are decorated. We liked it so much we went to look at more yesterday. After looking at the models, we went to the park, and Sweet Tomatoes (yum!)
Sienna was such a crack up getting bounced on the bridge.
 Love this mother son shot.

Landscaping
A fair amount of the visit was spent working on our back yard. With Nancy's expertise (and elbow grease) we got a lot done out there. We planted several different things. I will post pictures once the lawn turns green again.

Will's Birthday
Right before Nancy flew home, we celebrated Will's birthday at a Mexican Restaurant. It was fun to see everyone and enjoy some good food. Our girls especially loved the cake. It was an ice cream cake roll with chocolate cake and mint ice cream.

Thanks for making the effort to come and see us, Grammy! We love making memories with you!

Cute as always! I like the mom and son shot too! Good pic! Disney on Ice sounds fun, we haven't done that in forever!

Melissa, when are you guys going to Disney? Do they have ice skating shows there? We watched a Disneyland Promo yesterday on Netflix and it looks so fun. I can't believe it's been over 4 years since we've been.
