Sleep Training: Day 3

SUCCESS!!!

It only took 2 nights of minimal crying and our smart little girl figured it out.  Hey, I can soothe myself!  What an accomplishment!  She went down around 7:45 PM and woke around 6:20 AM.  Here's to continuous sleep.  I've missed you!

way to go rachelle and sienna!! you both have skills :) can't wait for this to happen to me, hopefully as smoothly as with you. was it totally aggravating to listen to her cry though? or did you just distract yourself like watch tv or put in ear plugs?

Thanks, Megan! It is hard listening to them cry. Of course you want to go in and make it all better, but knowing it is for her and my own good helps. It is a small price for a huge reward (all about perspective). You know they are okay and they realize the same thing quickly. We turn on a loud fan to muffle the sound for us and a humidifier for Kaylee. I distracted myself with the internet and iCarly the first night and the second night, she was done crying before I even got out of bed. Getting the advice from a doctor we trusted/admired helped us do it. And then seeing Kaylee's success sealed the deal for all our future children. Can't wait to see how it goes for you guys!
